Trey Stephens
Youth Minister
​
Trey Stephens was called to become the Youth Minister of Riverview Heights Missionary Baptist Church, shortly after Hurricane Ian, in 2022. He has been heavily involved in youth ministry from the age of 14, and has been pursuing that calling ever since.
He has been a Hardee County resident his whole life and believes in building up the youth in this community through various inter-church events and ministry opportunities. At Riverview Heights, Trey is focusing on fostering a close brotherhood/sisterhood between students, fostering in-depth knowledge of the Bible and its doctrines, and laying a strong Biblical foundation to root students in the Bible in the face of relevant struggles they face now, and in the future. A lifelong resident of Hardee County, Trey is dedicated to nurturing the community's youth through various inter-church events and ministry opportunities. At Riverview Heights, he is committed to cultivating strong bonds among students, deepening their understanding of the Bible and its doctrines, and establishing a solid Biblical foundation to help them navigate current and future challenges.
JIM HARRIS
Pastor
Jim surrendered to preach in 1971. He served on staff of Ardella Baptist church in Lakeland, Fl for 9 years. He was called as Pastor of the Eastside Baptist Church in Mulberry where he stayed for 2 years before accepting the call of Lock Haven Baptist Church in Kissimmee, Fl where he served as High School Bible Instructor for Lock Haven Christian School for 10 years. In 1991 the Riverview Heights Missionary Baptist Church in Wauchula called Jim to pastor and he accepted. He has served at Riverview for 26 years. Jim also teaches Theology, Philosophy, Literature, Comparative Religions, and Ministerial Practicalities at Emmaus Baptist College in Brandon, FL. He received his Masters in Divinity from Luther Rice University in Lithonia, GA in 2013. Jim is married to Stacy Harris. They have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Jim's passion in life is to teach the Word in an understandable way so people can come to know God's purpose for their lives. He also loves to hunt and fish
